LM 343: Use Twine to Create a BIG Shape

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "all about the big picture." This week, our challenge is to use baker's twine to create a big shape on our layouts. This is the inspiration photo:

As soon as I saw the inspiration photo, I immediately thought of doing a Mickey head for my Disneyland scrapbook.  I decided to use my very favorite photo from my day at Disneyland with my BFF.  This was taken by one of the Disney professional photographers and I just love it!  I even got it made into a magnet for my fridge!

We were in Disneyland for the 60th anniversary, so I chose the navy glitter letters for that reason.  The right page to go next to this one will have some navy and baby blue to accompany the photos.  Once I finish the layout, I will be sure to post it.

I went outside of my comfort zone for this layout but I am THRILLED with how it turned out!  I rarely use white cardstock for my background paper.  I've never watercolored on a layout before.  (This was a great way to try out the gelatos I got for Xmas!)  I've also never stitched on a layout before.  I enjoyed that a lot, so I may be doing more stitching in the future!
